I like book five just as much as book one. The story keeps me interested, and there haven't been too many unrealistic deus ex machina.

I am at the point where I'm thinking of making a game out of counting how many chapters go between something "niggling" at the protagonist.

I'm also thinking of adding up how many times a vampire moves faster than Morgan expects, yet she still moves fast enough to get out of the way.

Morgan frequently comments on her inability to raise one eyebrow at a time.

I like the range of characters (some of whom are quite characters!), and I care about what happens to them. Of course, caring what happens to some of them means I hope they get eaten by a Kraken. I can't wait to start book six.

Morgan gains in power but loses the one person she thought was for keeps. She's running all over to catch Alister while trying to prevent the vampires from spreading their virus. But, it's all a ruse. While she deals with awakening powers, she must find away to control them. Adventurous with great characters.
I'm not in Macleod's target audience and I didn't consider romantic fantasies as part of mine, but I really like her smartass writing style and irreverent heroine. I'm glad that had suggested her first book in the series or I probably wouldn't have found her. Recommended for sci-fi fans willing to go outside their comfort zone just looking for a good story.
I will read book 6 but some contents repeat too much. Morgan's relationships are not going anywhere but heartbreak. I would like to see more with her relationships with secondary characters instead of adding new ones. Easy read, good plot, made me wish Morgan happy in the end. I want too see some more of the people and not just the fighting.
I enjoy reading all of the Sun Walker Series. They all have just enough suspense, romance and action. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to start the next one.
Another great edition in Shea MacDonald's , Sunwalker Saga. Shea learns of the reawakening of her boyfriend, only to find out there is a huge price to pay for his resurrection. Alister is up to old tricks and new levels of evil. Shea is past her eye balls in fighting off vampires and getting a handle on a new power. Despite chronic fatigue, a broken heart and pulling amazing feats out of her hat, our girl is "still truck'n!"
Well Morgan has a new power and Inigo is awake what can go wrong... so much drama, suspense and fighting. I loved every bit of it. I can’t wait to get on to book 6!
This is a fun series - I don't love the books, but they're quick reads and they're worth it for the cheap ebook price. However, I think this was my least favorite in the series. It felt really rushed and like the author was trying to cram a lot into this book. I think it would have felt more cohesive without some of the Inigo stuff. But I've also never been particularly attached to Inigo, so that plotline might be important to any readers that really like him.
I do think the next book should be interesting based on what happens at the end of this book.
