2nd book in the series and much better than the 1st. Buster was my favorite character in book one and I was not disappointed with his story. I especially like Buster/Caroline being a little older, more mature. May be because I like the characters in this series and we get to know them better in this book. We learn much more of their history. Lots going on in this book, a lot of action happening. Can't wait for book 3, hopefully Train, I see so many possibilities for his story. Maybe Monroe, I like his character a lot too.

President of the Nightshade MC Buster has had a sweet spot for bakery girl Caroline Anders since she began working there. Caroline seems oblivious until she calls him when someone is trying to break into her apartment. Buster moves swiftly and makes a more than obvious move that he is interested.

Caroline has been burnt badly before and she knows one thing, she is not a one night stand type of gal. She lays it out there for Buster and he makes a decision to pursue a relationship, even if he has no experience with one. However someone seems intent on destroying Nightshade MC and it is putting Carolyn in danger.

Fantastic series, I can't wait for Train's story. I was surprised with the many twists and turns that came into play during reading Through The Weeds. Will have to go back and read #1 in the series. Excited to find a new to me author and series.
I really loved the first book and the second was just as good. Out of all the mc books I have read these two seem to have a sense of realism.

This book was really good. Good characters, good story, good writing. All I ask is bit more romance but hey, it is an MC book, so maybe that's too much to ask. o). Can't wait for the next book. I hope it's Train's and I hope it's a mom who has five kids.
The rebuilding of Nightshade after the betrayal of Royal with Buster as President. This is Buster's and Caroline 's story interwoven with the chaos among the Club. Alliances are broken and formed, inner betrayal causes more death and sorrow. Crazy cop Harris determined to bring them down. Caroline 's growth from a bakery clerk to a strong woman capable of being the top old lady made for an amazing read. It was worth 5 stars even though the editing, while not the worst, far from perfect.
I liked this book. There's a good storyline and a satisfying ending. Still, I do have an issue. I know it's more realistic if the characters don't know everything but some of the things that happened seemed obvious - like they should have expected certain things to happen. This happened a couple of different times. However, there were still enough surprises to make me like this book. I would recommend this series to MC book lovers.
